Jamie Foxx is returning as Electro in the upcoming Spider-Man sequel and possible live-action Spider-verse

Jamie Foxx is reportedly in final talks to reprise his role as Electro in upcoming Spider-Man movie. The Hollywood Reporter broke the news on Thursday about Foxx, who previously played the same role in 2014's The Amazing Spider-Man 2 starred by Andrew Garfield.

Marvel still hasn't confirmed Foxx's return, but the news didn't stop the fans from sharing their excitement about it. Jamie Foxx played a powerful villain in the 2014's Spider-Man movie and fans think his return might bring in the live-action Spider-verse to the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Previously, JK Simmons reappeared as J Jonah Jameson in the post-credits scene of Spider-Man: Far From Home. So, Foxx won't be the only actor from past Spider-Man movies to reappear in the new Spider-Man movies. With J Jonah Jameson back in the franchise, reportedly having signed 2 other Spider-Man movies and Jamie Foxx as Electro, "Spider-Man 3" could potentially set up a live-action multiverse of Spider-men, also known as Spider-verse.

Many fans believe Michael Keaton from Spider-Man: Homecoming as Vulture may be seen in the Sony-Marvel's Morbius movie as there was a scene of him in the trailer of the movie. Bringing in Electro may also bring Andrew Garfield's Spider-Man and we also heard rumors earlier about the return of Tobey Maguire as Spider-Man in the upcoming movie Doctor Strange into the Multiverse of Madness. This could potentially bring another villain from the Tobey Maguire's Spider-Man movies, maybe Sandman? So, yeah, a live-action Spider-verse may be on the way to MCU and fans are excited about it.

With the three Spider-men, and probably with the introduction of Miles Morales, villains from the past Spider-Man movies which may include Sandman (which can be potentially played by John Cena as fans loved the rumors and fan-arts of him as Sandman), Electro, Mysterio, Vulture, Scorpion (first introduced in the post-credits scene of Spider-Man: Homecoming) and Morbius (Or Venom) which may bring up the famous "Sinister Six" reference and a Marvel Spider-verse. We all know that Marvel movies are not completely based on Comics as the studios love to change parts of it for the excitement of the move. So, in this case, the Sinister Six may also get changed from the Comics and bring in one kind of new Movie-based Sinister Six in the upcoming Spider-Man movies.
