10 characters we want to see meet each other in Pokémon Journeys

Pokémon Journeys is constantly proving itself to be a rewarding series for the long time fans of the franchise. This series has brought back many characters starting from Lance who last appeared in Pokémon Advanced in 2004 to the Alola gang. With the confirmation of more characters returning, we have decided to enlist a few first time character interactions we want in Pokémon Journeys. Also I am not alone for this one as I am joined with some of my amazing friends to come up with unique and interesting characters interactions.

Also initially we had Gary, Goh and Chloe in the list as Gary is a researcher similar to Chloe's father and he could help her know more about Chloe's Eevee. But as Gary's return is confirmed we won't be including him in the list. That being said let's now dive into the list.

Brandon and Leon

Brandon is a Frontier Brain who last appeared in Diamond and Pearl. Ash also took down Brandon at the end of Advanced Generation. We don't know if Frontier Brains would be interested to join the World Coronation Series. But even if they don't, we still want to watch a battle between a Frontier Brain and the world champion Leon. This would establish Leon even more as strong and worthy an end goal for Ash in Journeys.

Todd Snap and Trevor

 

Incase you forgot who Todd Snap is he is a professional Pokémon photographer who appeared in thr Original Series. Ash and he also ended up meeting Articuno in the Johto series. So we thought it would be fun to see this professional photographer interact with another passionate photographer from the XY series Trevor. Trever and the XY crew also ended up meeting Moltress. Trevor had previously also taken pictures of Moltres and Zapdos off-screen. Also as Pokémon Journeys already has showed us many legendaries notably Zapdos. So we expect an episode where Ash and Goh teaming up with these two to meet a legendary Pokémon in the future of the series maybe any of the Galarian form of the Legendary Birds?

Bonnie and Brock

This is an interesting one for obvious reasons. The interactions between Brock and Bonnie would be interesting too see. Bonnie can help Brock find his girl mashing up two of the longest running gags of the series. Brock can help her know more about Pokémon as both care alot about Pokémons. This interaction will surely make the fans crack with joy and happiness and we hope Journeys delivers it. Also we also want to see those two fight for a girl and Clemont standing there ashamed and blushing.

Clemont-Goh

Ash was a great influence to other characters in XY. He inspired Clemont to be more confident towards himself. This eventually resulted in one of the best Pokémon gym battles of all time. Similar to XY, Ash is a great influence to manythe characters of Pokémon Journeys most notably Goh. So it will be fun to see Goh and Clemont meet each other. Also as Cilan had met two of Ash's companions, we can imagine Clemont meeting Goh in a future episode.

Eusine and Goh

The 3rd version of the '123 After The Rain' opening teased the potential return of Suicine. Also with the return of Chuck we can expect many more unexpected characters to reappear. One of them is Eusine. Eusine is also a researcher who researched on ancient Pokémon literature aiming to know more about legendary Pokémons and more specifically Suicine. As Goh is aiming to catch all Pokémons including Legendaries leading upto Mew, it would be interesting to see how those two react to one another considering Eusine couldn't accept the fact that Ash had met Ho-oh and Suicine beforehand. Now Goh along with Ash has fought Zapdos and MewTwo and also rode on the back of a Lugia.

Serena and Chloe

 

Come on this was bound to be in this list. The newly introduced female protagonist, Chloe is very very similar to Ash's Kalos companion, Serena. For starters, both Serena and Chloe at the start of their journey weren't sure about their goal in life. Both of them own/owned an Eevee. Also both of them went to Professor Oak's summer camp in their childhood, well that's not a big similarity but I had to mention it. We still don't know what Chloe's goal would be in the anime but she is slowly becoming an integral part of Journeys. Serena could help her find her goal and impart lessons that she learnt during her Journey. 

Goh and Max

Max is one of the least liked character in the community. In Advanced Generation, Max was shown to be very knowledgeable even though he lacked experience. It's been years since Max had last appeared in the anime. Moreover Goh aims to catch all Pokémon leading to Mew to know more about them. He also stated it to MewTwo. So an interaction between Goh and Max will be great and interesting to watch on-screen.

Lillie and Dawn

Pokémon fans are eagerly waiting for the Diamond and Pearl remake and there is no better way to plug that game than bringing back Dawn. Dawn is one of the most beloved characters in the community. So bringing her back would be a great way to promote the remakes. Also as the Mohn arc is almost sure to happen in Pokémon Journeys, we can expect the return of Lillie. We did get to see Lillie in the Alola return episode where she was on a train presumably going somewhere to search her father. It could easily be in the Sinnoh region and somehow tie the game story. 

Sawyer and Paul

Both Paul and Sawyer played a crucial role in Ash's story arc in their respective series'. But the personalities of both are vastly different. Paul oppossd Ash's stategy whereas Sawyer embraced and analysed Ash's strategy. So it would be interesting to see these two clash and maybe have a battle. As mentioned earlier, Paul has an unique battle style and ut would be nice to see how Sawyer responds to that and comes up with his counter attack. 

Casey and Oluolu

 

Okay this one is just for fun. Casey was introduced in the Johto series. Casey was a bit forgettable but I hope you remember that she was a big baseball fan. She was a massive fan of Team Electabuzz. After almost 20 years, we were introduced to Oluolu who played for Team Magikarp. Oluolu was also shown to win a match against Team Electabuzz. So we hope we get to see a baseball episode in Journeys where Casey and Oluolu play against each other.
