Samsung Executive says they may skip Galaxy Note series for 2021 due to chip shortage

There have been rumors  that Samsung would skip its  Galaxy Note launch this year. Now, it seems like Samsung almost confirmed it. The company executive has said that the Galaxy Note series may not see a 2021 release because of the ongoing chip shortage.

Bloomberg reported that Samsung’s mobile chief, Koh Dong-jin said in an annual shareholder’s meeting that there is a “serious imbalance” in the supply and demand for semiconductors, which is a significant component in all electronics devices including smartphones and Samsung’s in-house chipsets. It was also reported that Qualcomm was struggling to meet up with the chipset demand due to the shortage.

We have reported earlier how Galaxy Note 21 could have been the last device in the Note lineup now that S Pen is not limited to the Note lineup and Foldable Phones are improving fast. Now that there will most likely be no Galaxy Note 21, does it mean Note 20 was the last device under that lineup?
