We are about 2 years away from the release of Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania. The filming of the movie is about to start soon. Recently, star Evangeline Lilly dropped a major tease that could hint at the return of a major villain who hasn't been seen in years.
Lilly posted an image of the first page of her script and tagged a lot of others in the post as well. The actor Corey Stoll was also in her list of tags - the same actor who played villain Darren Cross who eventually became Yellowjacket in the first Ant-Man movie.
In the first Ant-Man film, Cross shrank down and got inside the Yellowjacket armor while fighting Scott Lang, causing it to implode and go sub-atomic. But later on Ant-Man & The Wasp, we came to know that Janet Van Dyne, the mother of Hope Van Dyne survived in that realm for decades. Again in Endgame, the Avengers have used it as a doorway to other eras of time. So it's not impossible to assume that Cross is still alive in the quantum realm.
Although this can be some kind of tag honoring a former cast member, we doubt that's the case. Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania hits theaters on February 17, 2023.
