No anime won awards at the 48th Annie awards

In this year's 48th Annie awards, no anime has won any awards in any nominations.The International Animated Film Society, ASIFA-Hollywood has announced the winners for its 48th Annual Annie on this Friday and no anime has got a win though they were in some of the nominations. 


The June Foray award was given to Daisuke "Dice" Tsutsumi who is the art director or Toy Story 3 and the co director of Dam Keeper.

Transformers: War for Cybertron Trilogy: Siege, A CG animated series was nominated for the "Best FX-TV/Media" but lost to Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous.
 

Two anime films named ON-GAKU: Our sound and Ride Your Wave was nominated in the "Best Indie Feature" category but Wolfwalkers won this award. Ride Your Wave was also nominated for "Best Direction- Feature" but Wolfwalkers won the award too.
 

Wolfwalkers also won the award for "Best Voice Acting". Earwig and The witch was nominated for this award and also for "Best Storyboarding- Feature", but this award was given to the film Soul.
 
 
Great Pretender was nominated for the "Best Direction – TV/Media" category, but lost to Genndy Tartakovsky's Primal.
 

For the " Best Character Design- TV/Media", BNA: Brand New Animal was nominated but this was awarded to Amphibia.

2. ON-GAKU: Our Sound by Kenji Iwaisawa.

3. Ride Your Wave by Masaaki Yuasa.

4. BNA: Brand New Animal by Yusuke Yoshigaki.

6. Earwig and the Witch by Goro Miyazaki.
