The global pandemic has caused great damage to the people in the year 2020. People had to spend their entire year sitting at home not knowing what to do. But this only lead to them watching a great amount of TV shows and movies.
Here are some of the most loved and watched TV shows of 2020.
1. La casa de papel (Money Heist)
Even though it's a Spanish series, quite a lot of people all over the world loved and adored this show because of its plot twists and handsome characters.
The show starts with a criminal mastermind known as El Professor who plans the biggest heist in the recorded history. To carry out with his plan he recruits 8 other people with extraordinary abilities. Part 4 was released on April of 2020 and since then the show has hit with millions of viewers. At least 65 million people checked out the show Money heist.
2. Friends
If you still haven't watched Friends, your missing out one of the best show ever!
Friends is an American television sitcom which was aired on NBC from September 22, 1994 to may 6, 2004. With 10 seasons, 236 episodes in total. The show is about six reckless adults living in Manhattan who faces a lot of trouble with love, career and so on as they indulge in their adventures. Even though it's been 16 years of Friends, teenagers and even elder people still loves to binge watch friends to pass their time.
3. Dark
If you are looking for mystery, thriller, tragedy, science fiction all together, this is the show for you.
Even though Dark is a German series, it's still one of the best supernatural science fiction series in Netflix. The show begins with the disappearance of children in a small town of Winden, Germany. Secrets of the pasts comes out when the families look for their children. It also has supernatural elements that connects with the town with different timeline. It's definitely worth a watch if you are into science fiction. I'd give it a 10/10 for sure!
4. The Queen's Gambit
The Queen's Gambit was released on October 23, 2020. It became one of the most watched Netflix show just after few days of its release.
The story begins in Kentucky when a nine year old orphan Beth Harmon is taken to the orphanage after losing her mother. There she was taught chess by the building's custodian.
As year passes by, Beth becomes an expert in her game and rises at the top of the chess world.
Even if you don't play chess, after watching this show you'd definitely have the urge to play chess.
5. Lucifer
Looking for something different to watch? Maybe fantasy?
When the Devil is tired of life in hell, Lucifer comes to Los Angeles and runs a hell of a night club.
Lucifer was first aired on January 25, 2016. Then on 21 August 2020 half of fifth season was released. Lucifer is no.1 streaming show in the US. People of all age loves the show mostly because of how charming Lucifer is and also the chemistry between Chloe Decker, the detective and Lucifer is simply undeniable. If crimes, solving cases and fantasy is what your looking for, then this is the perfect show for you!
