Planet Hulk exists in MCU? Insane MCU Details #008

Small details, easter eggs, hard to notice writings and objects, everything hidden inside the scenes of Marvel movies really surprise all. These details may or may come to our eyes while watching the movies for the first time. But watching the movie with clear attention and in slow speed, the details can be noticeable. And we are back with yet another episode of Insane MCU Details to present insane details and easter eggs to you. To view the previous episodes, click here. Now, let's start with our details.

Eternity

In Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.2, when Ego forces his will to his son Peter Quill aka Star-Lord, Peter's eyes get starry and he whispers one word, Eternity. It's a reference of an actual powerful god-like being who control the universe called Eternity. In Marvel Comics, Eternity is a being with near omnipotent cosmic powers. Ego called himself as a god. This version of god has "g" in it, making Ego a low level one. But Eternity is the god with "G". Eternity is one of the Gods who control the Marvel Universe and the existence of it in the Marvel Cinematic Universe can be proven through this scene as Peter gets a glimpse of one of the Gods.

Another powerful artifact?

In the post-credits scene of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.2, we see a cocoon with a glowing artifact at it's head. It was revealed in the scene that it will be Adam Warlock. In Marvel Comics, Adam Warlock has a genetic "twin" whose name is Ayesha. Ayesha was the one who was seen in the movie naming the cocoon Adam. Notice the shiny glowing artifact at the top of the cocoon? That artifact was meant to be the Soul Stone like in comics. Adam Warlock has the Soul Stone attached to his head just like Vision had the Mind Stone. But in Marvel Cinematic Universe, all the infinity stones have been destroyed by the Mad Titan Thanos. Then what is that glowing artifact? Is that another powerful artifact introduced by the studios? Whatever it is, it will never be the soul stone like in comics. There are possibilities of the glowing artifact to be other powerful artifacts like The Heart of the Universe, The Ka Stone etc. It is to be noted that these are all theories and the actual movie may have differences from them. So, whatever it is, we can say that Marvel Studios has some big plans for the future of MCU.

English Premier League Match

In Iron Man 3, when Tony Stark and James Rhodes (Rhodey) meets the Mandarin and found out that it was a fictional character played by an actor, a scene came by focusing on Rhodey. Mandarin was watching the English Premier League match of Liverpool and Chelsea with the scoreline 3-0 in favor of Liverpool. This is an actual match from the EPL Season 2011-12. This is an interesting detail which fans didn't quite notice. Even if they did, it wouldn't matter because it doesn't have any connection to MCU. But to football fans, it is quite an interesting matter. Lucky Liverpool fans!

Planet Hulk exists?

In Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.2, the guardians were forced to land on an empty planet after their encounter with sovereign drones. The movie didn't show much of the planet as immediately Ego and the Ravagers tracked their ship, Milano, and reached the planet's surface. The planet they landed on was named Berhert. Berhert is actually the same planet (in name) where a fight was seen between the Hulk and the Galaxy Master in Incredible Hulk ll #111. In Marvel Comics, Berhert is called the Planet Hulk. A race known as Sagittarians live on that planet. But as the guardians didn't discover much on that planet, maybe that is why they couldn't find anyone there and the planet was referred as empty. If Ego and the Ravagers didn't follow the ship, maybe we could've seen some more beings of our favorite Hulk species.

That's all for today. Hope of you have enjoyed reading and knowing about the details. We will be back again with another episode of Insane MCU Details. Follow us on Instagram and stay tuned for more epic episodes!
