What to expect from Spider-Man Miles Morales?

A hero is just someone who doesn't give up.

2018 Marvel's Spider-Man was loved by the fans across the globe. Recently during the grand reveal of Sony's PlayStation 5, Sony dropped an epic first trailer for Spider-Man: Miles Morales. Gamers all over the world were shocked seeing holiday 2020 release date. That raised confusion about the game, wheter it will be a remaster or Spider-Man 2. Sony later on revealed Spider-Man:Miles Morales is a standalone game. Spider-Man 2 will come later down the line in the coming years.

Spider-Man:Miles Morales will be the first Spider-Man game to have any other Spider-Man than Peter Parker.  Miles got his powers at the end of the first game. There might be some potential spoilers. So you know what to do if you don't want to get spoiled about the game.

It will be one of the very few Spider-Man stories that take place in winter. The trailer starts off with Peter saying, "A hero is just someone who doesn't give up." Though it's probably a great line to start the trailer, it might hint at something more. Comic book readers are familiar with the Ultimate Spider-Man story. In that comic, Miles became Spider-Man after the death of Peter Parker. Insomniac took a lot of risks in the first game, so it is not highly unlikely. This could mean, Spider-Man 2 game would solely focus on Miles. But it's just a speculation.

Players will be happy to know that Miles have a few abilities in the comics that Peter Parker Spider-Man doesn't have. Firstly there is Bio-Electrokinesis which helps him to control his body's electric current and discharge it. This ability is also known as Venom strike or Venom blast. Secondly, there is invisibility or active camouflage. Most fans are aware of these two abilities thanks to Spider-Man Into the Spdier-Verse. The game trailer also show cased these two abilities.

Venom was teased at the end of the first game. But it is likely that Insomniac would save Venom for the sequel. We still might get some hint or many be a few scenes. This game would solely focus on Miles Morales and him becoming Spider-Man. Throughout the game he will most likely master his abilities and become Spider-Man. As the game is about Miles, we can expect Prowler to show up as the main bad. Prowler is actually Aaron Davis, who is the uncle of Miles. It could add some dramatic layer in the story. Insomniac could also save him for the future as well and just tease him in this game.

We still know very little about the game. But we hope it is another home run by Insomniac. Spider-Man: Miles Morales is scheduled to launch Holiday 2020.
