Hawkins, Indiana......seems like a nice place to raise your kids without any hassle or any other problems. How it is not a good place to live. There is new up and coming shiny mall, cool arcades, comic shops,a big public pool which is being looked by every Hawkins mom's heartthrob and one cool teacher(Yeah I am looking at you Mr.Scott).But unfortunately it is being overrun by terrifying monsters and shady government agencies. This combination may make that place difficult to live in but this combination has made a hell of an entertaining show. Yeah you guessed it right! It's Stranger Things which combined '80s Red Scare Paranoia with a killer body invasion horror story. It had plenty of heart to heart touchy, comedic, suspenseful, horror moments which made the audience to see the show on the edge of the seat. Here are "The Top 10 Moments of Stranger Things"(Until Now). So grab your popcorns...begin the '80s vibe and let's get on with it.
10. The Notorious Four
Ahh....The Notorious Four. It all started in summer in Hawkins where four kids namely Michael(Mike) Wheeler, Dustin Henderson, Lucas Charles Sinclair and one timid boy Will Byers playing Dungeons and Dragons for 10 hours straight. Mike an intelligent and conscientious student who is committed to his friends is the 'Paladin' and the 'Dungeon Master'. Dustin, the nerdy boy is the the 'Bard' of the party. He has extensive knowledge of the game, particularly the monsters. There is Lucas who is known as the 'Ranger' in the party due to being skilled with the use of his slingshot namely "The Wrist Rocket". And finally we have our 'Cleric' who is none other than Will Byers whose vanishing has been the foundation of this show's season 1.
This scene gave us a glimpse at the characters. Mike is the one creating the conflict whereas we see Dustin freaking out easily and saying funny stuffs which sets him up as the comedic relief. Lucas shows a sense of eagerncy and passion while playing. Will doesn't do much by his own and relays on others which sets the stage for the entire season.
09. The Snowball Dance
In this show nothing seems to be normal for the group or anyone else. There is only a few moments in the show where the characters can finally have a sigh of relief and have a good time. The most notable one is (You guessed it right) The Snowball Dance. The Snowball Dance happened at the end of the last episode of Season 2. Mike finally reunited with the love of his life Eleven. Our shy Will got to dance with someone. Lucas got himself a girlfriend and Dustin.... though it was turning to a bad night for him but he got to dance with his long time crush Nancy Wheeler connecting to the very first episode of the series. It was very satisfying to see all the characters have a good time after everything they have been through.
08. Billy Saving El
Season 3 of Stranger Things was one of the most exhilarating, suspenseful seasons of the show. The fans got to see Dacre Montgomery's character Billy Hargrove who is Hawkins Mom's heartthrob. He was being introduced as Max Mayfield's step brother....a badass low-key villain like character who is a jerk to his sister. He did kinda took over the place of Steve Harrington when Billy started to beat Steve in Basketball games and the chug all the alcohol in a house party. In Season 3 he became a full time villain under the possession of Mind Flayer. But we slowly start to sympathize with him as his backstory unfolds. And this jerk completely steals our heart when he sacrifices his life and saved. El's.
07. The Ultimate Trust
In Season 2 Dustin finds a new friend on the day of Halloween. Dustin placed the creature in his turtle's tank and fed it a Three Musketeers bar, appropriately giving it the name D'Artagnan after the character from the novel. The rest of the group refuted this decision but Dustin kept it otherwise, which later ate his cat and finally turned into a demodog. At the last episode of the season they get face to face under the pumpkin patch. While the other demodogs were running away Dart lingered a bit longer because Dart recognized Dustin while the others were thinking it was trying to attack, Dustin came forward and gave him some nougat while the others ran away. Later on Dart died when El closed the portal. But the scene reflected the trust between a pet and his master no matter what the pet is.
06. The Moment We All Had Been Waiting For
In the Season 3 of Stranger Things we see Dustin coming back from Camp Know Where. We see that he tells Steve that his tricked work there and Dustin had found himself a girlfriend. But nobody seemed to believe him as he couldn't connect with he via radio or couldn't give any hard proof. But we finally got to see Suzie when she and Dustin shared a moment by singing one of iconic '80s song in the midst of saving the world...yeah real romantic moment.
05. The First Kiss
In Season 1 Eleven was introduced as a kid who is experimented for her telepathic powers. But she escaped from the facility and ran away from there but then she met with the gang. Then Mike took her home, gave her shelter, bought some Eggos for her. After then she started to bond with him and the rest of the party. During the last fight before El fights with the Demogorgan and disappears, Mike and El shared a magical moment as the Dungeon Master kissed the The Weirdo of Maple Street.
As this list is coming to an end there's a lot of things that we have missed in till now. So in this honourable mention we are going to mention couple of them.
# You Cannot Spell America Without Erica
Erica Charles Sinclair is the younger sister of Lucas Sinclair. In the second season we saw for a small period of time but in season 3 she has been bought as regular and one of the main characters. She is sassy. She is cool but she is not a NERD. In season 3 we saw her giving zero BS to people. But the greatest one was when she said "You Can't Spell America Without Erica" while eating those free ice-creams.
# Joyce's Savagery
In Stranger Things we see Winona Ryder's character Joyce Byers. A single living mom raising his two kids namely- Jonathan Byers and Will Byers. Throughout the series we have seen her in action like putting all the stops to find her son or arguing with the government. But the most fun and savage moment was when she smacked the nuts of Larry( Hawking's Mayor) and punched his face. Or the one where she single handedly cracked out how to communicate with his son when he was in the Upside Down by putting up Christmas lights on the walls and writing all the alphabets to know what's her son is saying.
There goes our honourable mention list. Now the real list is coming up again.
04. Will's Fake Body
In Season 1 we see Will Byers got vanished in the Upside Down when the Demogorgan escaped from the facility and came to his house. After that his friends got a new ally who has superpowers for real. Mike, Dustin and Lucas uses El's telephatic powers by channeling it to the the radio of their school to find Will. After they successfully found out they went near to the river only to find out that the authorities of Hawkins pulling a body. It was the body of Will Byers. This scene completely proved El as well as Joyce wrong. Mike was broken the most as he completely trusted El to get his friend back. It also broke all our hopes even for a slight moment as later on we came to know that it was fake.
03. All Hail King(Mom) Steve
Ahhh...the time has finally come to appreciate our resident king and everyone's mom Steve. Steve was first introduced in Season 1 as a rich arrogant type kid whose only thing the fans loved was his hair. After his confrontation with Jonathan he started to change and at Season 2 we see his behavior started to change and he becomes a caring boyfriend to Nancy but unfortunately Nancy broke up with him and his popularity at school disappear as Billy appears. Fortunately he got lurched with none other than Dustin. Their bromance was one of the things that made Season 2 more entertaining. The advices he gave to Dustin and the emergence of a new nickname "Mom Steve". In Season 3 we get to see him more as his friendship continues or you can say his motherly love for his kids and he finally won a fight when he beat a Russian soldier in one blow. This made him one of the fan fav in the series.
02. Robin's Confession
In Season 3 we get to see another character that goes by the name Robin which is played by Maya Hawke. At first we see that she always teases Steve about his attitude and antics and somehow had a soft spot for him. At first Steve didn't used to give her that importance but gradually he started to had feelings for her and started to like her. By the end of the season they both had a heart to heart moment after they finally get rid from the clutches of the Russians. Steve confessed his feelings for her. However Robin confession shook us when she came out. She said that she was jealous of Steve back in the days because Tammy Thompson used to gawk at him always. Because Robin used to like her. Though Steve gets a little heartbroken and was shooked about the confession he still managed to use his goofy antics by not judging that Robin's a lesbian but judging Robin's taste on girls. And this heart to heart moment made them more closer than ever. This also created some diversity in the series.
01. El Cosing The Gate
At the end of the Season 2 we see that El returned to Hawkins after she escaped from her house to find out her mom. There she found out that her real name was Jean and she kinda had a sister who goes by the name Kali. After she returned she reunited with everyone and the according to their plan she and Hopper went to the facility to close the gate. On the way there she and Hopper had heart to heart moment. After reaching there they came before the gate and El used her power and all of her might to close the gate and she became successful in that after sealing the gate for good.
You thought we were done. This is Stranger Things. Here 10 means 11 so here's another one moment which is by far the best and the most emotional scenes in Stranger Things for all you guys out there.
*1 El Reading The Letter
At the finale of the Season 3 we see that Hopper mysteriously vanished after he and Joyce successfully managed to close the thing that was opening the gate again. Hopper was presumed dead and all were gradually moving on with their life. The Byers decided to move out of Hawkins ad decided to take El with them. While El was packing her things Joyce gave El a letter that Hopper wrote to El at the beginning of the season. There we saw the teachings Hopper wrote to El to guide her to live her life. We hear the words in the letter and the screen cuts to the farewell of the Byers and the other as they all move as the background song Heroes by Peter Grabriel is played which gave goosebumps to all the viewers of the series.
That's it. Our "Top 10" moments has been finished. Hope you guys had fun reading these and it makes you eager to watch the series again. Until then Goodbye.
