The pencil that grows into a plant

One of the biggest concern of the current world, alongside the Pandemic is the climate change. Many companies and organizations have come forward to combat this worldwide issue. Sprout, a Denmark-based startup has come up with a creative idea to promote sustainability. They have come up with pencils that can grow into plants after their use. The Sprout pencils are the world's first ever plantable pencils.

In the first glance they are like normal pencils. But at the end of its life, it can be planed and grown into a plant. There are about 10 seeds in the eraser tip of the pencil. These pencils are non-toxic. They are made of 100% natural and sustainable wood. There is a small compartment at the back of the pencil. There are about 10 different non GMO seeds in the compartment.

When you are done using the pencil to write  down your creative ideas(or if you are just impatient to see it turn into a plant), poke the eraser end of the pencil into a small pot of soil. With in a few days, the seeds will grow into a small, cute plant with beautiful flowers or fresh vegetables.

These Sprout Pencils are a great creative promotional gift for companies focusing on sustainability. It is also possible to customize the pencil and put the logo of the company in it. Companies like Toyota, Disney, Coca-Cola, Porsche, L’Oreal, and many more have used the Sprout Pencils in several events to spread the idea of a sustainable, eco-friendly world.
