Apple rumored to release it's AR glass in early 2022

Rumours have been circulating since years about the potential debut of Apple's AR glasses. Now a new rumour suggests that the Cupertino giant might release an AR glasses named Apple Glass in early 2022.

Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kou came up with a new rumour suggesting the tech giants venture into the augmented reality with their digital glasses. It is rumored to release by early 2022. This rumour has been backed both DigiTimes and The Information. Industry experts expect it to be similar to Facebook's Oculus Quest headset except with a sleek design. Apple is rumored to use fabrics and light weight materials to keep the headset usable for prolonged period of time. It will possibly support hand gestures and voice support.

Apple already has their own augmented reality platform for iPads and iPhones known as ARkit. At present there are many ARkit enabled apps in the Apple app store. So Apple clearly has experience with AR. Their own challenge is to allow it to work in a small form factor like glasses and not look bulky and convince the consumers to purchase it.

The entrance of Apple in the market of augmented reality can draw the attention of other big companies like Samsung to dive into this market. So the market is looking to start spicing up from 2022.
