The MCU is one of the biggest franchise in the universe and for good reasons. Marvel Studios have given us dozens of fantastic characters. The studio also goes a long way to include some tiny details that in turn makes the movies more depth and offers the fans to participate in finding those details. So today we are going to mention some of the few insane MCU facts and easter eggs.
T'Challa became Black Panther in 2008
Black Panther made his MCU debut in 2016. In the movie T'Challa's father, the king of Wakanda dies. That makes T'Challa to put on the Black Panther suit and avenge it. But it wasn't the first time when T'Challa became Black Panther. Rather, he became Black Panther in 2008. Specifically a week before Tony declared, "I am Iron Man". It was revealed in the Black Panther prelude comic. T'Chaka was both King and Panther for a number of years. But in 2008 passed on the role of Panther to his son, T'Challa, while maintaining the title of King.
The Ninth Symphony
Before the release of the highly anticipated Avengers Endgame, fans were busy guessing who would die at the end. As you all know Tony sacrificed himself in Endgame for the entire universe. But what if I tell you his death was somewhat foreshadowed way back in 2009 in the first MCU movie, Iron Man.
In the classical world it is believed that when a composer writes his ninth symphony, he would die. In the film Obadiah Stane calls the Arc reactor Tony's ninth symphony as he had the intention to kill Tony. Though it didn't happen. Tony Stark actually died in Endgame, which was symbolized by the his arc reactor turning off. In the MCU his ninth symphony was Infinity War, which was also the 9th film where Tony appeared. After his 9th film, he died in the 10th. After a decade these two words of Obadiah stane pays off.
War Machine almost became a founding member of the Avengers
Rhodey took the Iron Man suit in Iron Man 2 and became War machine. Iron Man 2 took place before the Avengers so many fans were speculating where Rhodey was during the New York battle. It was revealed in Iron Man 3 prelude. Tony indeed called Rhodey during the Chitauri invasion. But Rhodey was busy fighting the ten rings in Hong Kong. If he had reached New York in time, he would have become a founding member of the Avengers.
Ancient One's hoodie covering the mystic symbol in her head
This detail was noticed by the Canadian Lad. In the film we see Kaecilius stealing a page from the book of Cagliostro. At that time, Kaecilius and his disciples are confronted by the Ancient One. She traps them in the mirror dimension. But she never takes off her hoodie in this scene. In this scene she draws powers from the dark dimension. When someone harnesses powers from the dark dimension they get a mystic symbol in their forehead. That's why she kept her head covered with her hoodie.
There are many more insane MCU details. Let us know your favorite MCU details or any that you have noticed. We will mention the best ones in our second article. Till then stay home, stay safe.
