Everything we know about Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro before launch


Google's highly anticipated Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro, with Google's in-house custom Silicon, Tensor, is scheduled to launch on October 19. So here's everything we need to know about Google's upcoming flagship.

Design
 
  • The new two devices have a design language that is largely reminiscent of Google's Nexus 6P. 
  • Pixel 6 has a decreased rear forehead with the camera bar compared to Pixel 6 Pro's camera bar. 
  • Edge-to-edge screen with a hole-punch camera at the front center.
  • Google is putting an in-display fingerprint reader this time instead of a fingerprint scanner at the back.
 

Display

  • Both devices will come with an AMOLED panel.
  • Pixel 6 will come with a 6.4-inch flat display. Pixel 6 Pro will come with a 6.71-inches curved display.
  • However, Pixel 6 will includes a 90Hz refresh rate panel, while Pixel 6 Pro will come with a 120Hz panel.

Specifications
 
  • Google's custom made chipset, Tensor chipset (5nm)
  • Octa-core CPU
  • Pixel 6 is rumored to come with 8GB of RAM with a 128/256GB storage option. (Rumored)
  •  Pixel 6 Pro is rumored to come with 12GB RAM 128GB, 256GB, and 512GB storage option. (Rumored)
  • No headphone jack in both devices.
  • USB Type-C 3.1
  • Both devices will have an IP68 dust/water resistance.
  • Both devices would have 5G support.
 
 

 
Battery
 
  • Pixel 6 will have a 4,614mAh. Wired charging is rumored to be at 33W (Rumored)
  • Pixel 6 Pro is apparently powered by a 5,000 mAh battery and it will also include a 33W wired charging.
  • Pixel 6 and 6 Pro will support wireless charging.
Camera
 
Pixel 6:
  • 50 MP wide with OIS
  • 12 MP ultrawide
  • 4K@30/60fps, 1080p@30/60/120/240fps video (main camera)
  • 12 MP selfie camera with 1080p@30fps video recording.
Pixel 6 Pro:
  • 50 MP main camera with OIS
  • 48 MP telephoto camera with OIS and 4x optical zoom
  • 12 MP ultrawide
  • 4K@30/60fps, 1080p@30/60/120/240fps video (main camera)
  • 12 MP selfie camera with 1080p@30fps video recording.



Price and availability
 
 
  • The two devices will hit stores on October 28 after pre-orders get underway on October 19 (via Jon Prosser)
  • Pixel 6 is rumored to start with a price tag of $599 and Pixel 6 Pro is rumored to start with $898.
