What If...?: Death and Tragedy is teased for Doctor Strange in new trailer

What If...? has presented alternate Marvel stories which brings changes after changes to form a whole different story-line of the universe. With episodes of Peggy Carter, T'Challa and Nick Fury, What If...? is set to expand its magical domain with a new episode of Doctor Strange, where things go pretty different than what happened in the Sacred Timeline.

The trailers for What If...? showed fans a different evil looking Doctor Strange in different scenes and even fighting our own Doctor Strange. So far, it has been confirmed to be Doctor Strange Supreme. But a new trailer regarding this episode being release today gives us a lot more information regarding how this episode could play out.

Marvel Studios released a new trailer for Episode 4 on Twitter, captioning, "What If...Doctor Strange Lost His Heart Instead of His Hands?"

In the trailer, we see Doctor Strange losing the love of his life, Christine Palmer, instead of losing his hand control during the accident from 2016's Doctor Strange movie. This leads to him seeking mystical power to bring her back to life, making him turn to a darker path, into Doctor Strange Supreme. The trailer can be seen below:

In order to resurrect his love, this Stephen Strange will risk everything from the world at risk. He will seek for darker magic, probably from the dark dimension, which will establish chaos or probably multiverse-level threat leading to any connections from the previous or future episodes.

Whether this version of Doctor Strange still be pure of heart or will he be madly controlled by his inherent selfish motives, only time will tell as Benedict Cumberbatch is set to feature as Doctor Strange Supreme on What If...? Episode 4 this Wednesday, September 1, 2021.
