Director Osamu Kobayashi passes away at the age of 57

A Famous Japanese animator, illustrator, mechanical designer, and animation director Osamu Kobayashi passes away at 57. It was posted on his twitter account with this image(person the the right of the image) that he passed away on Saturday evening. It is seen from his tweet that  he died of kidney cancer which he was fighting for the last two years.


He was a scriptwriter, overseeing and writing scripts for Paradise Kiss, BECK: Mongolian Chop Squad, Naruto Shippūden  and Rinshi!! Edoka-Chan.

He has directed the following animes:

1. BECK: Mongolian Chop Squad

2. Paradise Kiss

3. Someday's Dream II Sora

4. Table and Fisherman

5. End of the World

6. Digital Juice

7. Ani-Kuri

He was also and episode director for the animes like:

1. Naruto Shippūden

2. Panty and Stocking with Garterbelt

3. Gurren Lagann

4. Gad Guard 

5. Dororo

6. Lupin III: Part IV
