The MCU Phase 4 was set to start this year with movies like Black Widow, The Eternals and Disney+ shows like The Falcon and The Winter Soldier, WandaVision. The first Marvel Studios series, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, was set to release in August 2020. But the Coronavirus pandemic halted its production during early March.
Though the production was said to be starting soon, its release in August was getting more and more uncertain. Now, a news confirms that the Marvel Studios series will have to face a delay as Disney+ removes the series from its August release slot.
Today, Disney+ revealed the full list of movies, TV shows, documentaries (via Decider) that will be release in this August in Disney+, but unfortunately, the name of The Falcon and the Winter Soldier was not included there.
The Falcon and the Winter Soldier still needed to finish filming a few days in Czech Republic and in Atlanta, Georgia. But the Coronavirus cases are still spiking up across the United States which makes it impossible for Marvel Studios to pick the pace again in its production. It's likely that Disney+ shows like WandaVision and Loki will also see some delay as the Disney+ slate moves back the same way Marvel movies slate was did back in April.
This delay will give the production team more time to finish the filming and the post-production without doing hastily like previous movies. The Falcon and the Winter Soldier will hopefully still be able to come out later in 2020 but that is far from guaranteed. As a result, the fans will have to wait a few more months for these highly-anticipated shows and movies. Whatever the delay, the movies and shows won't stand back in amazing the MCU fans.
