Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3: Chukwudi Iwuji to Play Extremely Powerful and Complex Character

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 hasn't yet come up to be a talking topic yet, but things have started happening now. It has not been so long since Chukwudi Iwuji was being cast on Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3. But what character he will be playing and what would be the role is still a mystery to all.

In a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter about him starring on James Gunn's Peacemaker show on HBO Max, he was asked about any small details of character in the next Guardians of the Galaxy movie. In reply, the Nigerian-British actor gave some interesting mysterious tidbit of information. "Powerful," he said. "Extremely powerful. Complex"

Powerful. Extremely powerful. Complex. James and I were talking about it, but he's certainly one of, if not the most complex characters we've seen in the freaking Marvel universe. So, he's deeply complex and deeply powerful, and I hope intriguing. I hope I bring that to it.

Director James Gunn confirmed the casting via Twitter where he praised highly of the actor and was not ready to "let go of one of the best actors he had ever worked with." Iwuji did reveal how James Gunn approached to him regarding the casting as he says,

I literally went from dancing on the soundstage to James saying, 'Come over here, I want you to be in Guardians of the Galaxy 3.' And I remember it was one of the few genuine times of my life where I was speechless. I just looked at him and I was like, 'Um, yes, okay.' So that's how he offered it. I mean, we still had to go through Kevin Feige and certain people, but apparently, he'd already spoken to them and they liked the idea of it.

Since the casting news surfed the internet, rumors were cooking and among those rumors, one was that the big bad of the movie will be the High Evolutionary. The High Evolutionary, in the Comics, genetically experiments on animals to form monstrous living beings. As confirmed by James Gunn on Twitter that Rocket Raccoon's origin will play a big role in the upcoming movie, this rumor becomes more and more likely to be the plot of the movie.
