Round Pixel Watch with Fitbit integration will reportedly arrive as early as Spring 2022

We have been hearing rumors of Google's in-house Pixel Watch for years at this point. Now we have a few new reports from Business Insider and The Verge. According to the report, it’s not clear whether the device will actually be calling it a “Pixel Watch” yet.

The Design & Sensors

The device(codenamed “Rohan”) is said to be “round and has no physical bezel.” It is reported that the device will make good use of proprietary watchbands. It is also said that the device will require daily charging and the charging speed is pretty slow as of now.

The watch will have a heart-rate monitor and step counting sensor. Google also hopes to debut Fitbit integration on Wear OS, which is codenamed “Nightlight." Earlier this year, Google bought Fitbit $2.1 billion, so it's not very surpring that the company would do that.

The Price

According to The Verge, the "device is expected to cost more than a Fitbit and compete more directly with the Apple Watch.” At this moment the most expensive wearable for the company is the Fitbit Sense, which is priced at $299. So we can expect it to cost higher than that.

A launch is planned for next year. It could come as early as spring “if the latest testing round is a success.”
