Google has recently started rolling out Fuchsia OS on select Google Nest devices. Since a lot of them are in the wild it only makes sense that Google is preparing for the project to have a friendlier public image. You might have noticed that over the years Google has redesigned the logos of many of their apps and simplified them. Now it seems like the Fuchsia OS is also getting a new redesigned logo.
A new trademark filing reveals that Google’s recently released Fuchsia OS is getting a new familiar-looking logo.
For the people that say the new Fuchsia logo doesn't look like a Google logo, I made you this. I'm sorry. pic.twitter.com/kY2uvQ0KZO

It's the first time, the Fuchsia logo has been changed. Although the previous logo was charming in its simplicity, it didn’t exactly fit in with Google’s other public projects.
According to a new US Trademark filing, Google is looking to trademark a new logo that is “intended to cover the categories of operating system software.” In the logo itself, we find an illustration of a mobius strip. It's a heavily stylized lowercase letter "f," for "Fuchsia."
For now, though, the logo does not seem to be in use in the source code or in any of the project’s public websites. But 9to5Google has reached out to Google and they did confirm that it's the new logo. Anyways, what do you think of Google’s new logo for the Fuchsia OS project? Do you like it or did you prefer the previous one? Let us know in the comments down below.
