Motorola is rumored to release three new smartwatches running Wear OS

Motorola 360 was one of the most well received Android Wear smartwatches. Now it seems like this year new Moto-branded Wear OS devices are on the way.

A product roadmap for 2021 lists a “Moto G Smartwatch” for June, while July sees a “Moto Watch” and “Moto One.”

The new Moto G Smartwatch is very identical to the current Moto 360. But there is no rotating crown instead there are two flat buttons on the right. The naming indicates that this will be a more affordable offering.

If this is true then in July we will get a new rectangular Moto Watch running Wear OS which looks a bit like the Apple Watch. The signature watch face has been adapted to the different screen. The Moto One looks to be slimmer, rounded. It also seems like it will cost more than the other offerings.

As of now we have no idea what specs these devices would rock. We could guess Moto One and Moto Watch would run the Snapdragon Wear 4100 where as the more affordable Moto G Smartwatch would run a 3100 processor.

  1. Why would Samsung take a step backwards and ditch Tizen for wear os? IMO, this would be the worst mistake in marketing history. Possibly even more of a disaster then the exploding cellphones!

  2. Tizen watch navigation can be frustrating coming from Wear. Both have their quirks, believe me. A few web articles are in favor, a few against. Probably will not happen as this issue seems to pop up every year. Both Wear and the Galaxy watches are fantastic for sure. For my use, Wear is the better.

FYI, the Moto G1 was the first round smartwatch.
