Marvel Studios' first ever animated series 'What If...?' is right around the corner. This series is promises to explore alternate realities caused due to some small changes. The studio will bring back many of the original actors to voice the characters in the series.
Recently in an interview with Collider, MCU star Frank Grillo confirmed that he will be returning to voice Crossbones in the Disney+ show What If...?. The actor simply stated "I'm in it. I've been doing it" when asked about his involvement in the animated series."

The actor played Brock Rumlow in Captain America: Winter Soldier where he was an HYDRA agent disguised as a SHIELD agent. But the character was killed off in Captain America: Civil War. The actor again came back to play the villain in Avengers Endgame where he appeared during the New York Time Heist scene.
We don't know in which episode Crossbones would appear. He easily assume he would appear in a Captain America focused episode. What If...? is set to premiere on Disney+ in Summer 2021.
