Ash's father and his small role in the latest Pokémon movie

Our nostalgic Pokemon series has released another movie in Japan on 25th December 2020 as the name " Pokemon the movie: Coco". It's also known as "Pokemon the movie: Secret of the jungle"

Pokemon has given us a lot more movies showing the journey of Ash Ketchum becoming a Pokemon master. You have seen Ash, his friends, his enemies, his mother, and many more in his journey. What we all haven't seen is Ash's father. Director, Tetsuo Yajima, decided to reflect the father-son bond between Ash and his father. At some point in the film seeing Coco and Zarude, Ash said that it reminds him of his dad. Then Yajima makes Ash describe his father's characteristic similar to 10-year old Ash.

According to Twitter user @AshandSerena who has got the opportunity to check out the movie, said that Ash briefly mentions his father and his his inspiring words to never give up.

For those asking about Satoshi's father, Satoshi said that there's a time where all his friend laughing about his dream and his dad told him that the map of the goal is on Satoshi inside,
If he give up, his dream won't come true.

Even though it's not much, it goes to show that the writers are aware that the fans are interested to know about Ash's father.
