The end of Avengers Endgame was full of emotions. Ironman dying filled tears in everyone's eyes. From then onward, fans think they won't be able to see Ironman in upcoming movies and some fans also kept their hopes up by making theories of Ironman having cameo in future films and their wishes may be fulfilled for real this time.
Doctor Strange sequel, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness will bring in the science of multiverse and alternate realities and timelines. This act may bring many characters from alternate timelines and universes and Ironman could be one of them.
Marvel Studios were in talks with Tom Cruise to play the role of Tony Stark as Ironman before Robert Downey Jr. was set to play the role. But Tom refused to play the role which later on was played by Robert Downey Jr. and was a total hit. The movie was a big hit and people loved the acting alongside the action of the movie. But now, after the death of Tony Stark, Tom Cruise might play a new Ironman but from a different reality or universe.
Doctor Strange sequel directed by Sam Raimi will showcase a number of different universes and Marvel can use this oppurtunity to give Ironman a cameo. Casting Tom Cruise and having him appearing as Ironman would definitely be something to surprise all the fans. This could make the scene talk of the movie and also a chance to bring the Ironman character (but played by Tom Cruise) in the future Marvel movies.
Even if Tom Cruise doesn't show up as Ironman, the rumors prove that Sam Raimi can surprise the fans with literally anything as the main plot of the movie is so diverse. The sequel is set to release March 24, 2022. Let's hope for the best and keep our fingers crossed that any of Raimi's crazy ideas make their way to the big screen.
