Pokemon Journeys just revealed a new opening with the remix of the same song, this time performed by Nishikawa-kun and Kirisho with different visuals. The opening took the internet by storm when it debuted on Japan along with episode 32. The opening teased many future events, captures and returning characters. That being said let's breakdown significant parts from the opening.
Before getting into the breakdown, we want to warn you about the spoilers. If you don't want to get spoiled about the future events of the anime click back. Otherwise, sit back and enjoy the breakdown.
Koharu(Chloe) joining the Ash and Goh

Koharu (Chloe) has been shown to be very introverted and unsure of what to do in the future. Unlike other companions of Ash, Koharu(Chloe) is not traveling with Ash and Goh. But recent episodes, focused on her a lot. She recently went on her first journey with Ash and Goh to Hoenn. The opening also teased that she might be interested in joining the two and travel around the world as she stares at the two while they get ready for their adventures around the globe. So it's likely that writers want her to join the two and be a trio just like in every other generation.
Legendary capture

As the opening goes on, we see a Pokeball in Goh's hand and a Zapdos comes out of it. It might tease a potential Zapdos capture or it might be there to showcase a new storyline involving it. We also see other 3 regional birds. We could also see the Galarian forms of these birds coinciding with the new Sword and Shield DLC.

Later the opening, we see Ash and Goh have a battle and in the battle, we see an Aerodactyl in Goh's side. Some people are saying it could be Ash's but there is not more evidence to it. Similar to Zapdos, it hints at its its capture or a potential storyline involving it. Speaking about Ash and Goh's battle...
Ash vs Goh

Goh's current goal has been to catch all Pokemon leading up to Mew. We have also seen him struggle with Pokemon battles. Throughout the first 30 episodes, Goh has witnessed a lot of battles of Ash. Goh's partner Pokemon Raboot has also shown some interest towards battling. So in the future, we could see Goh battling and maybe taking on gym leaders.

We also get a beautiful shot of Ash's current team all in action and ready for battle. The new series is kinda like the Gen 1 anime, where Brock was the most experienced trainer, Ash was the newbie and Misty was slightly knowledgeable than Ash when it came to the world of Pokemon and also the one to tease and point out Ash's mistakes. In Gen 8, Ash is the most experienced just like Brock in Gen 1. Goh is the newbie and Koharu(Chloe) is Misty.
Goh's team

Later on, we get a look at Goh's team. We also see a Flygon in Goh's team which suggests it's capture in episode 36. It was earlier predicted that Ash would catch Flygon but the opening debunks it. We also see a Heracross in Goh's team which Goh might possibly get by trading Pinser in episode 33.
Raihan and Leon

Then we get a glimpse at Raihan and Leon's battle. After that we get a wholesome scenes with Ash, Goh, their Pokemons, Raihan and Leon. It is worth pointing out that, Sobble has been shown prominently alongside Raboot in the entire opening as a second partner Pokemon of Goh.
The Darkest Day Storyline

The opening later shows Eternatus in its Eternamax form. This scenes suggests the future Darkest Day Storyline from the Sword and Shield game. This was also hinted in episode 27 of Pokemon Journeys where Sonia, explained the events of the darkest day to Ash and Goh. We also got a look at Chairman Rose who is linked with the story.
The opening also spoils the evolution of Raboot and Riolu. As we see Ash's Riolu evolved as a Lucario and Goh's Raboot as Cinderace.
Returning companions

The biggest surprise in the opening was the inclusion of the Sun and Moon crew in the opening. Earlier last month a prominent staff from the anime confirmed, characters from older generations would one by one show up in the anime. Alola is also the only region Ash and Goh's didn't go yet. Again, Ash is the first champion of Alola League and the Sun and Moon was structured in a way that if Ash ever goes to Alola, he won't possibly able to avoid any of the older characters. As he has almost been in every significant places in Alola. The Alola crew looks great in the new art style.
If Ash is going to Alola, we might also see his old Pokemons which he left with Professor Kukui. We might also see the new child of Kukui and Burnet.
It is also worth mentioning that Lillie is not in the opening. This is because at the end of Sun and Moon, Lillie, Gladion and Lusamine went in search of Mohn, Lillie's father. We might also get to see them reunite on screen with their father. The possibilities are endless.

This also opens the door for more previous traveling companions returning. The most obvious ones would be the XY crew and the OG crew. The OG crew, returned in Sun and Moon but they still have the possibility to return. We might also see Dawn as Gen 4 remakes are rumored to happen soon. Fan favorite character, Serena could return as she didn't get a special episode dedicated to Serena which we got for other characters except of her and Iris. Speaking of Iris, we could also see her return and maybe have a match with Ash as Ash owns a dragon type now too.

Ash vs Bea

Then we see a cool scene of Ash walking into a battle field. Then comes Bea with her Pokemon. Bea has been recently appearing in different merchandises and magazines. An episode title has also been revealed about the potential debut of Bea and a battle with Ash's Riolu and Galarian Ferfetch'd.

Earlier the opening we also got one of the coolest segments from the opening, where we see Riolu and Ferfetch'd training and battling each other. This also gives a massive Shounen vibe.
The opening is jam-packed with many more great moments. Pokemon Journeys is shaping up to be one of the best generations of the Pokemon anime and we can't wait to see what else the writers have in stored for the future.
