It's been reported that Tom Holland is in talks with Disney and Sony about a six movie extension contract. The six movies will include Spider-man four through six and the other three will be other crossover films.
The report goes on that while there is six movies in this contract, this is not the entirety of MCU's plans for Tom Holland. Rather they are planning to do a full three part trilogy, one in college and the other in his adult life. But the contract of the six movies only include the second trilogy and other three Marvel movies with Spider-man.
That means this extension doesn't include the trilogy which will be based on Spider-man's adult life.
Mike Suttone, a famous Marvel scooper has indicated long ago that Sony Pictures might get sold in which the rights for Peter Parker would bounce back to Marvel anyway. The addition of the six movies would definitely put him out for the rest of the decade even if they are releasing a Spider-man movie every other year.
The more the contract extends, the more we get to see our favorite friendly neighborhood Spider-man in the MCU and the more it goes to the storyline of The Sinister Six.
