The legendary Ford Bronco returns with cool innovative features, retro styling, and impressive offroad capabilities. The name is returning after 24 years. Although in terms of styling the 2021 bronco is much closer to the 1960s original model.
Powertrain
The engine line up is fairly simple. the bronco doesn't come with a v8 instead customers will have a choice between a Turbocharged 2.3 liter inline four-cylinder that makes 270 horsepower and 310 ib-ft of torque and the other is a 2.7 liter twin-turbo v6 making 310 horsepower and 400 ib-ft of torque. A 10-speed automatic transmission bolts to both the engines but a seven-speed manual is only compatible with the smaller one. Though the seven-speed manual is bolted with the engine with less torque it has a super low crawl ratio which is handy for an obstacle at low speeds. The Bronco sends power to the dana front and rear axles through a four-wheel-drive or the all-wheel-drive system.
Other options include 35-inch mud-terrain tires, Beadlock wheels, electronic locking front and rear diffs, long-travel dampers, and a sway bar disconnect. The Bronco has 11.6 inches of ground clearance from the factory and Ford says it can wade up to 33.5 inches of water.
Interior
The Broncos interior has more features than Jeep. Such as the bronco has a built-in rack on top of its dashboard which is useful for mounting cameras or go pros and there they can be plugged in in the nearby 12 volt outlets. The Bronco also has frameless dors which are easy to remove. When exposed to the elements the cabin can be protected with rubberized flooring and marine-grade vinyl upholstery available from the factory. The bronco also has trail sight functionality on the top of each front fender because they are not only useful for locating tight turns but they are also tie-downs which has 150 pounds capacity.
