It's been a while since we got updates from The Deadpool movies. But now we have got some updates on the future of The Deadpool movies.
Morena Baccarin (Vanessa) was recently asked by Entertainment Weekly about a third Deadpool movie but she says that the movie is being written but she hasn't been approached about it.
I have no idea. Apparently, they are still writing it. I genuinely don't know. I have not been asked or approached. There has been no conversations about it but i am waiting with a bated breath.
Many fans have criticized Deadpool 2 for killing off Vanessa just to provide fuel for Wade's personal journey in the film and then in the end by having Deadpool travel back in time to prevent her death.What makes the treatment of Vanessa's character feel like even more of a missed opportunity is that Tim Miller, who directed the first Deadpool, initially had big plans for her. In Deadpool 2, Miller intended to have Vanessa granted superpowers and assume her alter ego from the comics, Copy Cat. But after Reynolds and Miller disagreed over the script, Miller left the project, and with him exited the planned 'getting superpowers' storyline for Vanessa.
We have known since December that Deadpool 3 is in production since Ryan Reynolds confirmed it on a morning talk show. But Rob Liefield claiming that Marvel Studios didn't have any future for Deadpool worried the fans.
But now since we get a quite a confirmation about Deadpool 3 being written, we can say Rob Liefield was just stirring things to get attention. And we can again enjoy Ryan Reynolds as Deadpool on the big screen.
