Microsoft Surface Duo will arrive in September 10 with a price of $1,399

The first Android phone from Microsoft is right around the corner. It is an interesting one as it is also a foldable device. In a blogspot Microsoft re-unveiled the Surface Duo. They announced it would go for sale for $1,399 in the US.

Let's have a quick rundown of the specifications of the device.

The Surface Duo has two 5.6-inch OLED screens withtwith 4:3 aspect ratio combine into one larger 8.1-inch PixelSense Fusion display with 3:2 aspect ratio. It’s all held together by a “revolutionary 360-degree hinge”. Unlike foldables like Samsung’s Galaxy Fold, the Surface Duo is using real Gorilla Glass.

The device would be 4.8mm thick in its unfolded form. The company even claimed it to be the thinnest device available in the market. But in folded state it would be more than 9mm thick. Still the device looks quite good, we would even call it one of the best looking foldable we have seen yet.

The device has an 11-megapixel f/2.0 camera, with auto modes for low light, HDR multi-frame captures, and super zoom up to 7x. Both 4K and 1080p video recording will be supported at 30fps and 60fps, with EIS.

The device will rock Qualcomm Snapdragon 855. It will have 6GB of RAM, and up to 256GB of storage. The device has two batteries. Overall there’s 3577mAh of capacity, which is very less even without considering it would run two displays.

As a Android device, the price is a lot, even more than Samsung's Galaxy Note 20 Ultra which cost $1,299. But as a convertible, it is a steal. As it is cheaper than the Galaxy Fold and Motorola Razr.
