Korg wasn't the first Kronan in MCU! Insane MCU Details #005

Marvel movies can't stop surprising us and the fans. The more we search for details, the more surprised we get. We are back with yet another episode of Insane MCU Details. If you are new here, click here to read the previous episodes. Now, let's start with the details.

Mysterio's Snap

This is from Redditor u/Keith__M. Spider-man was already in trauma because of the death of Tony Stark, his mentor, during the snap scene of Avengers Endgame. But during a fight between Spider-man and the fire elementalist , Mysterio came to the rescue to defeat it. When he was charging his power in his suit, he raised his right hand and snapped his fingers before attacking. As we came to know later on that Mysterio was actually evil, this scene can be explained as a way to trigger Peter Parker's trauma of losing Tony when he snapped his fingers to defeat Thanos.

Thor not the first born of Odin

Hela, the first born of Odin, was introduced in Thor Ragnarok. Odin prisoned her because of her evil mentality and destructive aims. Before Thor Ragnarok, Thor was called the first born of Odin. But the presence of the real first born i.e. Hela was hinted for a single second which many of the fans may not have noticed. During the announcement of Thor's arrival, Odin called him his heir, his first born. But there was a look of hesitation in him as his voice cracks while declaring this. Also at the use of the word first born, Frigga glanced away. This little thing proved that Thor wasn't the first born of Odin. There was another individual who was the true leader of Asgard by born, Hela, the Goddess of Death.

Korg wasn't the first Kronan

Korg was first introduced in Thor Ragnarok when Thor was hold as a gladiator in the planet Sakaar. Korg introduced himself as a being made of rock. Thor understood that Korg was a Kronan. In Marvel Comics, Kronan is an ancient race of rock-like humanoid beings. Many fans assume Korg is the first Kronan to be introduced in Marvel Cinematic Universe, but that's not true.

Thor was seen fighting (wasn't quite a fight but...meh) against a Rock Monster during the Vanaheim battle in Thor: The Dark World. The rock giant looks pretty similar to Korg. Thor destroyed it with just one blow. In Thor Ragnarok, Korg also mentioned his mother having a boyfriend whom he didn't like. This might mean that the Kronan whom Thor destroyed in the first sequel of Thor, might have been Korg's father all this time. Whatever it is, absence of such a funny and interesting side-character in future movies will prove to be quite a shame.

The Dancing Monkey

Steve Rogers was given the Super Soldier serum for his good and decent character and to use this for the betterment and to end the war. But after the death of Dr. Abraham Erskine, the one who invented the serum, the authority made Steve a play actor except using him for the greater good. In this way, Steve felt very controlled, like he was being controlled by someone else and being used. This was not his goal. As a result, he was seen drawing a dancing monkey wearing the Captain America suit. Later on, this same sketch was noticed yet again in Captain America: Civil War.

After many decades, Steve again felt like he was being controlled when he was forced to sign the Sokovia Accords. This was a legal document to regulate the activities of organizations like the Avengers. This feeling was recreated by bringing back that dancing monkey sketch from the movie Captain America: The First Avenger.
